Warlock

Warlocks in Classic occupy a unique spot in Classic PvP. Fear is debatably the best CC in the entire game, and death coil is an untrinketable stun that only shares diminishing returns with itself. This made them excellent kill confirmers. Their lack of mobility was their glaring weakness, especially in the context of a large battleground, but their consistent damage and spammable on-demand crowd control sealed their place as a mid-field threat and flag returner. In Legionnaire+, we've removed soulshard cost from ALL spells. In addition, we've taken aware Fire Stone and Spell Stone from the base kit, instead inserting them into Destruction and Affliction trees, respectively, in order to give some of these specs more cohesive identity.

Affliction was always outshone a little bit by Demonology. Demonology Warlocks cast all the same spells Affliction locks do for comparable damage, but have a passive 30% damage reduction built into their kit. That, along with their capstone talent being borderline useless, means most Warlocks didn't go any further than Curse of Exhaustion down the tree. In Legionnaire+, we've given them a little more damage and utility so they can stand out as fear and DoT masters. First, Affliction locks get to cast their AoE fear (Howl of Terror) instantly, more akin to Psychic Scream, given them a panic button that alleviates some of their squishiness. Additionally, they are now the sole owners of Spell Stone. Spell Stone doesn't have to be resummoned on use and now passively gives shadow damage, meaning giving up your wand slot isn't quite so punishing. Lastly, Dark Pact has been moved up and Haunt (from later version of the game) has taken its place. Haunt is a debuff that increases the Warlock's DoT damage on the target, also providing a delayed heal for the Warlock. This should really separate them from Demonology. Now you'll be able to tell the difference between a Curse of Agony from a Haunt Warlock versus a Soul Link one.

Destruction in Classic was a kind of gimmicky combo class. They would try to bait your trinket and then put you to sleep with their Succubus, lining up big damage on you before it wore off. In Legionnaire+, we've added onto this identity with a few new tools. Firestone is now castable, purging the target of 2 magic effects and applying a very punishing snare to them. Demonic Concealment is a new spell that sacrifices your Succubus - transforming her into an Imp instead and making you go invisible for 10 seconds. Targets afflicted with Shadowburn no longer award a soulshard, but instead reset the cooldown and refund the mana cost of Shadowburn upon death. These will provide some defensive options for what is usually a fully offensive archetype.

Demonology is unchanged.
